Introducing Catalyst Coding

Posted by: admin 5 months, 1 week ago

Catalyst is super excited to announce our newest subdivision, Catalyst Coding!

There is a huge necessity for software development skills in our tech-centered society; youth can gain these skills in our highly accessible programming workshops and coding nights. The organization San Diego Code, founded by Ronak Shah and Nir Levin, has now merged with Catalyst, under the new name, Catalyst Coding. The organization has run these free weekly programming workshops for a year and will continue to do so under Catalyst. The curriculums we have to offer and teach are cumulative and in-depth, as well as tailored to the individual who is able to go at their own pace. We offer lessons in python, javascript, arduino, and more.

If interested, feel free to come to our first weekly workshops at Rancho Penasquitos Library, Fridays from 4:00 - 5:30.

We're looking to expand our weekly workshops to more libraries/civic centers, so email us if you're interested in starting a local chapter near you.

Additionally, if you are interested in seeing a Coding Night Occur near you, email us at and we’ll work on putting on an event near you.
